In this video, I'll show you how to add custom fields to your shipping information template in three easy steps, enter, select, and save.
First click on your account name. This takes you to the settings page and on the left, you need to click customize fields on that menu. The first field is mandatory, but customizable. It's your carrier equipment type. And this is where you modify that drop down menu of the carrier equipment types that you can choose from. Add any you like delete any you like, but make sure each one is separated by a comma.
Let's move on to our fully customizable fields. Enter the title of your custom field in the box, then select by checking the box next to it. Once you've done that, you'll need to click save at the bottom. If you run out of fields and need more, just click add new fields. And follow the same steps. Be sure you follow, enter, select, and save and check for the banner. At the top that says custom fields have been saved.
Now let's check our work, click the BOL template to see what it will look like on your BOL. It'll be right there in the middle and to see what it looks like on your shipping information page, where you enter it.
Go to your dashboard, click the three little dots next to any load that you like then click, edit, load, click through to shipping information and scroll down about halfway down the page. You'll see that equipment type drop down menu. And when you scroll further down, you'll see the custom fields you just added.
