In this article, I’ll show you how drivers and dispatchers easily interact with FreightPrint. I’ll show you how to do four things: scan, bid, accept, and update the status of loads using the FreightPrint app.
There are two ways to scan. The first is from the opening screen of the app, where you’ll see View Items and Scan Items. You can choose Scan Items from this screen or click through on the View Items button and choose Scan Items from the options there. Either way, once you’ve chosen Scan Items, you can scan a load’s FreightPrint QR code or manually enter the FreightPrint ID.
The other three things -- bidding, accepting, and updating statuses -- all happen under View Items.
To bid on a load, choose the Bid Items tab. You’ll see the list of loads up for bidding. These are loads that were broadcast to carriers and drivers when the dispatcher created the load and selected Broadcast as the carrier/driver choice. Choose the load, view the rate, and accept, reject, or counter offer with a different rate. Each driver’s response is visible from the dispatch dashboard by clicking the View Response icon for that load. We’ll cover more about this in the Broadcast video.
To accept an unassigned load or to start a load that has been assigned to you, go to Available Items. Your assigned loads have a Start option next to them. Once you click Start, the load moves to the Active Items screen.
Unassigned loads which are not open for bidding are listed here too. They have an Accept option next to them. They are only visible if your carrier profile has “Show Unassigned Loads” selected. Accepting a load from here assigns it to the driver who accepted it, changes its status and gives the driver the ability to start the load at any time, but doesn’t start tracking until the driver chooses Start. When the driver chooses Start, the load moves to the Active Items screen, which is where we’ll go next.
Status updates happen via the Active Items screen. Choose the load from the options shown and select Update, or scan the load and choose Update from there. This will load the signature screen, with options like delivered, loaded, and cancelled. Pick the appropriate one, add signature, notes, and pictures if desired, then click Submit. If you have chosen “delivered” as the load status, the load will disappear from your Active Items screen. It’s all visible from the dashboard under that load’s information. Click the View BOL icon to view the signature.
That’s all it takes to scan, bid, accept, and update the status of loads using the FreightPrint app!
